Interviewing Inuit Elders Series
A five-volume series on traditional knowledge. The first volume acts as an introduction to the series. The remaining four volumes are thematic, and deal with traditional law, shamanism, health and child rearing. All 5 volumes of the Interviewing Inuit Elders Series are currently available online.

A website that promotes and protects Inuit culture and language by providing an online data base with meanings of words in Inuktitut, English and French. The site also provides the opportunity to submit words for consideration. An Inuktitut font is required to view syllabics on the site.

Nunatsiavut Government
Nunatsiavut Government provides planning for sustainable economic development, protects and preserves Inuit culture and implements social programs on behalf of Nunatsiavut beneficiaries.
Ilisaqsivik Family Resource Centre
Online healing materials and special sections for Elders, parents, men, women, youth and children, helping anybody feel more connected - to yourself, your family, your friends, your community, and even the Territory of Nunavut.
Inuvialuit Regional Corporation (IRC)
IRC is responsible for the overall managing of the Inuvialuit Final Agreement. Its mandage is to continually improve the economic, social and cultural well-being of the Inuvialuit.
Nunavut Tungavik Incorporated (NTI)
NTI represents Inuit under the Nunavut Land Claim Agreement. NTI's mission is to foster Inuit economic, social and cultural well-being through the implementation of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement.
Qikiqtani Inuit Association
The Qikiqtani Inuit Association represents the interests of the Inuit of the Baffin Region, the High Arctic and the Belcher Islands.
Kivalliq Inuit Association
Kivalliq Inuit Association (KIA) represents the Inuit of the Kivalliq Region in the development, protection, administration and advancement of their rights and benefits as an aboriginal people and works to promote their economic, social, political and cultural well being.
Kakivak Association
Kakivak Association is a non-profit Inuit economic development society that represents and serves the business interests of all Inuit in the Baffin Region and provides training contributions and sponsorships to individuals, organizations and businesses.
Makivik Corporation
Makivik is the development corporation mandated to manage the heritage funds of the Inuit of Nunavik provided for in the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA). Makivik's role includes the administering and investment of these funds, and in promoting economic growth through the assistance of the creation of businesses run by Inuit in Nunavik.
Avataq Cultural Institute
Avataq Cultural Institute provides a strong foundation for the living culture of today's Inuit. Avataq is the cultural leader for Nunavik Inuit and is an important resource for Inuit culture in Canada.
Kativik School Board
The Kativik School Board has the exclusive jurisdicttion in Nunavik to provide pre-school, elementary, secondary and adult education, and the responsibility to develop programs and teaching materials in Inuktitut, English and French; train Inuit teachers to meet provincial standards; and encourage, arrange and supervise post-secondary education.
Kativik Regional Government (KRG)
KRG oversees the delivery of a wide variety of essential services and programs in Nunavik. KRG manages regional affairs through more than 40 agreements. These departments provide or oversee personnel, programs and services that affect many aspects of daily life in Nunavik.
Nunavik Government
The Nunavik Regional Government will be a public government for the territory of Nunavik which is located about the 55th parallel. This new form of government will remain within the Province of Quebec.

National Inuit Organizations
Inuit Tapirit Kanatami (ITK)
ITK is the national Inuit organization in Canada, representing four Inuit regions - Nunatsiavut (Labrador), Nunavik (northern Quebec), Nunavut, and the Inuvialuit Settlement Region in the Northwest Territories. ITK works on improving the lives of Inuit through social, economic, health and environment advocacy and leadership.
National Inuit Youth Council (NIYC))
NIYC represents the interests of Inuit youth in Canada.
Inuit Art Foundation
The Inuit Art Foundation is the only national Aboriginal arts service organization in Canada. It exists to facilitate the creative expressions of Inuit artists and to foster a broader understanding of these expressions worldwide.
Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada
Pauktuutit fosters greater awareness of the needs of Inuit women, advocates for equity and social improvements, and encourages their participation in the community, regional and national life of Canada.

Inuit Circumpolar Conference (ICC)
ICC is an international non-government organization representing approximately 150,000 Inuit of Alaska, Canada, Greenland, and Chukotka ( Russia).
Arctic Council
The Arctic Council is an intergovernmental forum for addressing many of the common concerns and challenges faced by the Arctic states; Canada, Denmark (including Greenland and the Faroe Islands), Finland, Iceland, Norway, the Russian Federation, Sweden and the United States. The Council is a unique forum for co-operation between national governments and indigenous peoples.
